The Crestliner will be a dryer ride than the Lund when it gets nasty out. It also should get better fuel economy, butter top speed, and in my opinion, handle better, when using the same engine, than the Lund. I don't know why, but the Lund seems to feel more substantial in the flooring and hatches than the Crestliner.

Lunds are riveted, while Crestliners and Trackers are welded, if that's important to you. But it's not really clear that one is always better than the other. Lund owners say that welds aren't flexible and can crack, and welded boat owners say that rivets can loosen and leak. I believe there's some truth to both sides.

Both boats are great, reliable and well rounded for all fishermen. The choice is all based on your personal preferences and how much $ you want to sink into it. I opted for the Crestliner becuase of the layout! I am a muskie fisherman and the layout was suited to me. Now, if I was a walleye fisherman, the Lund would be my choice. I also just think the Crestliner's look sharper. All boats will their fair share of problems and we all like and hate our boats at the same time.

I'm in a 20ft Lund Alaskan tiller right know and am completely satisfied, Crestliner doesn't have a boat that compares to this. On the other hand we had several 18 ft crestliner kodiak side consoles and Lund doesn't have a boat that size/layout that will perform with a 50 hp four stroke (keeps cost down). In case you didn’t know, the same company that owns Lund also owns Crestliner.

Is there really a difference in Lund and Crestliner any more? Crestliner was a Little Falls, MN company until it was bought out by Brunswick. Brunswick also owns Lund. Several years ago, Crestliner production was all moved to New York Mills to the Lund factory. That's right, both brands are made under the same roof these days by the same people.

Lund vs crestliner

Sep 16, 2018 Looking for anybody's experience with Crestliner's vs. Lund. I am looking next year to purchase hopefully my last (brand new) boat. I've looked

The Lund brand, typically has a higher price tag, but comes with high-end build quality and performance. Lunds command a higher price point, and the materials used to make them are higher quality as a result. They use high-quality 5052 H 34 aluminum, known for its strength and ability to be made into custom shapes. Lund vs Crestliner: jeff OR sally@messinginboats.com: 4/5/01 7:53 AM: These boats are so close in every respect, I would save the $2000 and go Crestliner.

Lund vs crestliner

Lund has a hull with rivets and Crestliner has a all welded hull. Lund produces roughly 3 times as many boats as Crestliner at the New York Mills plant.

“Has a welded hull and lots of room.” Lund Boats Have Wooden Floors Wood is often the bane of a boat owner’s existence. I spent a lot of my summers on an aluminum Crestliner boat with a wooden floor. In case you didn’t know, the same company that owns Lund also owns Crestliner. Lund boats will come up consistently when you search for fishing boats, but, of course, a lot of what you find will come down to a matter of opinion. When it comes to Lund boats, there are lots of heated opinions on boating forums on whether the brand is worth investing in or not.

For the majority of these bass boats, you’re going to see that three to four people is the most that they can go, but when you look at Ranger, you’ll see that the maximum number of people that you can have on most of their boats is 5, while Lund is 4. Crestliner boats are wildly popular in the freshwater world. They are unique in that they have a welded aluminum hull as opposed to rivets.

- Lund has some features not found on Crestliner. The Lund has 2 smaller livewells under the jumpseats and a pedestal mount in the center of the back deck and a medium sized livewell up front. The Lund has the suntop folds nicely onto the floor. The Crestliner's suntop does not, it must be removed.
